Hello everyone,
In spite of being a chest physician I would like to promote the Tavaco hand rolled cigars. My father-in-law-to-be is a cigar smoker and got 5 torpedos and five churchills for x-mas and seem to be overjoyed! Since Tobago actually is derived from the word tobacco I find it great fun that they actually produce a hand-rolled quality item of this calibre on the island. We tried to get hold of them at the Italian restaurant but that seemed to be closed. Luckily they are available in the airport tax free department and at relatively reasonable prices. So, do try them! Unless You have COPD....In that case feel free to consult me.

Hi Stefan

Yes, La Terrazza closed in early December and is re-opening around 15th January 2006, together with the Tavaco 'factory', at the Tobago Plantations Golf Club. They have taken over the main restaurant at the clubhouse.

The premises previously occupied by La Terrazza in Shirvan Road will now be occupied by Ru-B-Lou's, who have moved from their original Sandy Point (Crown Point) location.

Hi
Heartily support Dr Stefan's promotion.

We visited and bought a box of Churchills, when they were still on Shirvan Road. I was by no means a great cigar puffer, but enjoyed the couple I tried, when I was still a smoker.
I distrubuted most among keen cigar smoking friends and relations. The cigars received universal praise for their quality and flavour.
They compare very favourably against Havanas and at a fraction of the price.

New to the site, but not to Tobago. Has Tavaco moved? When? Going back in 5 weeks and would like to know where they have gone.

Thanks

As I say two posts above, La Terrazza and Tavaco have moved to the Tobago Plantations Golf Course
