We were planning to visit Tobago this winter, but my husband persuaded me to go elsewhere, on the basis that next time it would be my choice of destination. I cannot wait til next year, and as we have 2 weeks available in September I am thinking of visiting Tobago then. I have checked the weather on your (superb) site; has anone any recent experience of weather patterns in September? Should we go in September or wait for February 2004 for the drier weather. Any advice welcome.

Hi Pauline,

It really depends on what you expect from your Tobago vacation. If you want to lie on the beach and get a tan for most of your time, you should come in February, maximum sun guaranteed. Persoally I prefer September, everything is lush and green, and most of our exotic fruits are in season. If you are a nature lover and able to cope with the occasional heavy shower come in September. It's also cheaper and there are not many tourists around.
