Metal Dectectors at the Trinidad Ferry

Hello,
When I was in TnT last year at the Trinidad ferry terminal there looked to be new baggage xray machines and metal detectors stacked in the corner ready to be installed. Does anyone know if those are in use yet? I know that Tobagonians blame most of the criminal element on Trinis coming over so the machines would seem to make some sense. However, the ferry passenger line-ups to Tobago were already so painfully slow without the inspection that they must be intolerable now.

thay are installed and working (in trinidad as well as tobago) and they don't really slow it down. in tobago you now get your boarding pass in the new build office in the front and only pass the barriess to go in after. went last week and did not find waiting a problem. still it is just the waiting trouble when you buy the ticket...if they sell you one
like the ideas of less weapons reaching the country very much... :D
