I am planning a return trip to Tobago--It has been 15 years. I was 12 the last time I was there. I spent many winters of my childhood in Tobago, while my father fished, mostly in Buccoo. Over the years we made many friends there, locals and ex-pats alike, but it has been about 10 years since even my father or brother have been to Tobago. Anyway, I know a lot has probably changed since then... I am so curious. So my questions are what is a ball park figure for daily spending, (on a budget!!!) excluding accomadations, is it still possible to hitch a ride with someone from say Charlottevelle to Buccoo without a taxi or rented car (if so whats a good amount to offer?), and by chance does anyone know Darlin'(40ish), Irma(50ish), or Ricky & Renny (twins-30ish)?

Hi Candi,

good luck on your trip back to Tobago after so many years. I am originally from Castara, Tobago. I know Ricky and Rennie - the twins - really well. They both still live round Bucco and if you head there you are sure to find them, or you might see them at Sunday School!
