Hello, I'm going to be in Charlotte during May this year for a week or two, and am hoping to be able to get Internet access while I'm there, ideally available a broadband service as part of an accomodation package, or alternatively a local dial-up service. Does anyone have any experience of this?
Thx,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I've only stayed in Charlotteville once and I'm afraid I don't have any idea about internet access there, but my wife and I will be there also in May and I was wondering when you're going to be there and where you are staying.

Hello Stephen
Last year there was a small "internet cafe" on the seafront just past Lydas bar, I have to say I did not use it as I was so chilled out I could not be bothered.
Dont know if you could find out more by Googling.
Regards
Paul

Stephen,Paul is right there is a small internet service opposite Lyda's but it is very slow and $TT10for 10 mins. There is a fast service just as you enter the village(opposite Phebes)however I have never used it as it is usually down or booked up.

Hi Stephen

Welcome aboard!

I understand there are a couple of sources in Charlotteville. As David says, Curtis Aming at Workshop Sea Tours, on the sea front more or less directly opposite Sharon & Pheb's Restaurant, offer an Internet service. As far as I am aware, Charlotteville does not have broadband, so I doubt whether it will be more than dial-up, realistically achieving little more than 28kbps. The other one is at the opposite end of the village, just before the trail to Pirates Bay, as mentioned above.
