Kingfish

On Saturday my wife Leita was in London for a days shopping and she phoned me from Harrods (we do not shop there normally) and asked if I wanted anything and I asked her to try and get me some Kingfish as this is my favourite food when I am in Tobago.
Two weeks ago I strolled along to the fishermans co-op in Castara and bought 3 beautiful steaks from Rusty which had only been caught a couple of hours before. They cost me $25 TT ie less than £2.50 and were absolutely superb.
Leita bought me one steak and it cost £9.80 and with respect to that wonderful shop it did not taste anything like the Castara version.
You will notice that Rusty has been getting a lot of mentions on the fishing posts recently and I think I need to get Stephen to act as an agent and get some sent over as it looks like we could be onto a nice little earner.
Will not be able to get out there until early 2008 to try it again so will have to stay with my memories.
Regards
Paul

I've got a freezer full of kingfish here, following our last session with Rusty. I could get one of the English guys that are out here to bring you some back, but the sniffer dogs at Gatwick might get it first.

Maybe if I hook a big one I could get it to tow me over the Atlantic and up the Hamble?

In the meantime, you will have to content yourself with a picture - sorry I can't also email the smell of a kingfish on the BBQ.
