Our first trip to Tobago and we were absolutely smitten, especially by Bill and Sheila’s beautiful villa. It had everything we could wish for – spacious bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms plus one other, a well fitted kitchen and that balcony..... We never used the lounge because it was so pleasant sitting outside on the balcony all the time with the added bonus that all the rooms opened onto it. And finally the pool and garden were so welcoming and attractive.

Our stay was also made very pleasant by the happy and friendly maid (Merle), gardener (Bev) and agent (Navia) who could not do enough to help.

We thought that a hire car was more or less a must even though there were mini markets and restaurants close by. However, to get to a supermarket and see the island, taxi or bus was not so convenient. And to get to Englishman’s Bay, one of the best beaches anywhere, a car is essential.
