Having recently returned from our first visit to Tobago we are eager to go back perhaps towards the end of October this year. Has anybody been this time of year, I was wondering what the weather is like & the sea conditions as, unfortunately, we will only be going for 1 week & want to be able to make the most of our time there.
Many Thanks

Hi Donna
The last week of October?
If you check the extensive archives of the Weather Forum you will see that the first 2 weeks of November have been virtual wash-outs in Tobago in 2004 and 2005.
The last week in October has been OK generally ... I guess you could say that you are 'on the ragged edge' if you want to go by recent statistics.
In truth, past weather phenomenon really is nothing to go by ... a week's holiday is higher risk than 2 weeks ... if I was going for 1 week I would pick a date between 1st December and March when the season is supposed to be dry, but then some would argue that point from their own experiences.
Sea conditions ... warmer, likely less clear.
Just go for it ... I would like to experience Tobago in all of it's seasons.
Regards

Thanks Paul
Unfortunately we are restricted by School holidays so we would be there 21/10-28/10. One of the things we would like to do is snorkelling & watching the birds at Arnos Vale as we ran out of time to do that in April. I guess we will probably take a chance biut I am not the happiest bunny when it is pouring with rain day after day so my husband may have some hesitation on seeing your reply.
Thanks again.
