Hi,
it seems there are several places to download digital images onto CD at the southern end of Tobago, but what about in the far north?
cheers,
J

Hi J
Welcome aboard!
90%+ of Tobago's population live in an area approximatley 9 miles long by 3 miles wide (between Crown Point and Scarborough). Outside this area, you basically have nothing other than small shops providing essential (by Tobago standards) supplies. Yes, a few enterprising business owners in the smaller outlying villages have opened 'Internet cafes' but these are simply normal 'domestic' computers with dial-up connections. Some/many of these machine might have a CD-burner, in which case I'm sure the owner would be happy to let you burn images to a CD - but I would advise taking some blank CDs with you.

In addition to Steve's advice - could I suggest that you also take your camera software disc and USB cable, that came with the camera for downloading your pictures.
You may need to use the disc to enable the camera to transfer data to the PC, by installing the software, so seek permission from the owner of the PC before hand.
Cheers
Steve

In C'ville almost directly across the road you will find an'internet cafe',I'm pretty sure they do it.

better don't count on the little cafes to do it. they dobn't know much about computers and are scared to get a virus when you cough at the screen...
I huess most of them would be scared to let you install you downloadprogram and they would not have one...
best you bring enough space on you digicam media and plan a day "in tong" to do it.
enjoy

David, the internet place opposite Lyda's wasn't open at all when we were there in May. We use a place in Speyside which is sponsered by one of the telecom companies. It is on the non-sea side of the road before Jemmas if you are going to C'ville. They have about 8 computers. Cost is v v cheap - 2$tt for 30 mins (and 10cents per page to print.) We left them more...
Still dial up but in an air conditioned room!
