Why dont Excel do 10 day tickets? I think it would be great to fly out on a Thursday and back the Saturday of the following week but i'm pretty sure you cant do this.It would definately be an advantage to those who want a little longer than a week but not a full fortnight.Do other airlines do it?

When we were looking to book flights to Tobago recently I'm sure British Airways fly on Thursday & Saturday. Hope this helps.

If all else fails, fly BWIA to Port of Spain, Trinidad then Tobago Express to Crown Point (and return). There are BWIA flights almost every day so you can get more or less any length stay.

Not sure about the cost implications or any special deals available on BWIA - still you can always ask!

Hi Andy

The Golden Caribbean/Excel service is a charter flight, not a scheduled service. Restricting passengers to fixed time periods apparently simplifies their scheduling considerably - just one of the overhead cost savings that helps them to offer such amazing value for money compared to the scheduled services. You will find similar restrictions with charter carriers to most other destinations. You pays your money and takes your choice, I guess.

Hi Andy,

You can do ten days with Excel... you just have to phone them and ask them about it! It's not something they advertise, but it is something they do!! Friends of mine came over on June 15, leaving on 24th, and they paid a little over £600 each for their tickets - PREMIUM! Mind you, they did book within 14 days of travelling, which does make a difference to the price!

Good luck with your booking!

Lisa is quite correct. One of the good things about Golden Caribbean is that you CAN talk to them, unlike the normal scheduled airlines. If every you've got any special request/requirement, its always worth just getting on the blower and having a word with them. They tend to toe the line more at the busiest times of the year, but can be very flexible at all other times. You can also get some amazing deals when looking for seats within a week or two of whenever you travel.

Thanks for the replies guys and gals,i know that Excel fly on Thursdays and Saturdays and have flown on both,it just seems daft that they dont advertise a 10 day option seeing as though they actually fly outward and return on BOTH days!
Next time i go i will definately call them and see what they can do,cheers.
