Firstly may I say a BIG thank you to steve for a fantastic site, also to everyone that has added comments and reviews to it. we are going to be staying in castara over new year. It will be our first visit to tobago and boy are we looking forward to it. - only (?) ten and a half weeks to go!!!
We are looking forward to our stay in osprey at castara retreats, the place looks lovely.(many thanks to Jean for her very efficient help and numerous emails, we look forward to meeting you out there!)
One thing that someone may be able to help us with though, I have tried to contact a couple of tour operators regarding trips over the new year period, but to no avail. Can anyone enlighten me on this, or recommend anything?
bye for now!!!!

Hi Andy and Sara

Welcome aboard!

Who have you tried to contact? Please don't be embarassed to mention their names - it is the only way we can hopefully prompt businesses to respond to their email. They may well have an email problem and mention here could result in someone local mentioning it to them and so help in getting the problem resolved.

If you are staying in Castara, a very obvious good choice of tour operator would be Alibaba Tours, who are based in the village. Steph Taylor, Alibaba's wife, is a reguar to the forum but not active at the moment, due to problems with her computer. She is receiving email though. You can contact them at [email protected]

Good luck.

I had tried to contact alibaba tours, but don't know if they got the email.
we're trying to get an idea of what's available while we're over there.
I have looked at Alibaba and King David tours and both look like they offer a good range of tours, so it's just a matter of finding out availability...

Hi Andy & Sara

As David says, don't worry. However, if you didn't get an answer from Alibaba's then I'm 100% confident that either your email didn't get to them or their reply didn't get to you. Sadly, TSTT the local ISP, is notorious for 'eating' email and/or I have traced delays of up to six days in delivery. My advice would be to re-send your enquiries.

Hi Andy and Sara,

you really don't have to worry about a nice boat trip or island tour/rainforest tour or whatever you like to do when you are in Castara.
As David (Bude Cool Boy!!!!) said it is very easy to find somebody when you are there.
AliBaba is to recommend and also King David which I made a very nice trip with last week (will write about it on another topic).

Enjoy your time in Castara and say hello to everybody from Shorty

Cheers

Dont worry i will be doing plenty of boat trips again at christmas & New year with sound systems with the Baba himself no doubt a great day and as Anaconda would say its about PERFORMANCE!!! Hope to see you there, ask for Phil & Chloe staying with Brenton & Shaba Shazzer 8)
