myTobago Sports Caps

Over the last year or two, a number of readers have asked for branded myTobago shirts and caps. This was something I had on the back burner. A recent request in the forum made me decide to put some thought into the subjects.

I am delighted to announce the launch of a range of myTobago caps. Full details are available at http://www.myTobago.info/caps.php (or through the Welcome menu) but in brief, these are VERY high quality tropical-weight brushed cotton sports caps with ventilation holes and a nice deep peak to give shade against the glare of Tobago's bright sun. Both the caps and the logo embroidery are of the very highest quality - this is not cheap printed tat!!!

Apart from the practical aspects, the caps are highly stylish and practical. They are available in a range of five colours - and as an added bonus, gentlemen wearing the pink cap will qualify for a free ticket in the myTobago competition!!!! :P

Switched-on Tobago business owners and managers are very aware and conscious of the power of public opinion and recognise myTobago's unique role as the nearest thing that Tobago has to a consumer watchdog - and a very powerful one from a visitor's point of view. Allowing Tobago businesses to recognise you as a myTobago reader can do no harm and you might be in for a few pleasant surprises.

Readers who have become involved in our ever-expanding myTobago forum community will also no doubt find the caps an excellent way of meeting other particpants. In fact maybe we should make them a compulsory purchase for everyone posting a message in the Meeting Board thread - what better way to identify yourselves? :D

Anyway, it is not my wish to over-hype anything. Apart from supporting this site, there are good, practical reasons to order and wear these caps (on Tobago or anywhere else).

Please see the page mentioned above for full details. In addition to direct purchase, caps are being given away free with donation and competition entries of higher value. Details are available on the relevant pages (under the Welcome menu).

Here is a collage of shots of Jill modelling the range:

Dear Steve,

Thank you very much for this caps! =D> =D> =D>
You know I was waiting for this a long time. I ordered two caps. Because I'm living in Germany I don't know how you will manage the delivery costs and I thought it was a good idea to make a little donation instead. Is this OK for you?

Thanks for the caps for this site and all the work you spend on it. We can not say this often enough!

THANK YOU STEVE !!!

Is it me? I don't get the photo collage on either this forum strand or when I open the "caps" page. (And before you ask Steve, I'm not using my "out of the ark" lap-top but Hugo's whizzy superfast, up to date, etc etc desk top). Help!

This is important - choosing colours is just SOOOO stressful for us fashionistas! (Yeah right!) What do I want to co-ordinate with?! Should I get pink or blue? Or black?

Jane

PS I forgot to say thanks for organising this. Steve. It really is a great idea, and I shall look forward to wearing a myTobago cap in the Maldives next year.

Hi Jane

That's really weird!!!! :?

Are you using a Windows machine or a Mac? What do you get - nothing at all, or a small block with a red cross in it? On the caps page, do you see any of the other photos - such as the picture of a blue cap, then a strip of shots of five caps in the different colours, followed finally by a picture from the cap manufacturer showing a guy wearing the black cap (on which I have stuck our logo). If you are getting all the other photos, but just not the one of the collage, then my guess is that you have some sort of spam filtering software on the machine which doesn't like the word "collage.jpg" (the name of the photo). I've known this before with photos called "banner".

Hi Steve,

It's a Windows configured machine - and I don't get anything at all - iether here on the forum or on the caps page.

However - saying spam filters does make me wonder if Hugo has installed something on this machine that I don't know about. I'll fire up my trusty lap-top later which doesn't have any of that sophisticated sort of stuff on it and see if I get pic's on that.

Thanks for a quick reply

Hi Jane

When you say that you don't get any pictures, are you referring to just the cap pictures, or ALL pictures on the site?

There's only one solution, you know - you'll have to buy one in each of the five colours, then you won't have to worry about matching problems. :P

Hi Steve,

OK - back on my stone age laptop I get ALL the pics! Phew!

So it must be some fiendish software that's stopping the cap pics getting thro' on the other computer. Incidently - all the other pics eg those attached to the competition or accomodation panels, are fine.

Guess I just have to solve the problem of which colour(s) now!

Thanks for your help.

Hi Steph

Yes, I know how slow the post can be to Tobago. Don't worry - I'll bring a small stock over.

Hi Steve

I can't see the collage or any pictures of the caps either (no problems on the rest of the site).

Could it be AOL being anti or my nasty Norton I wonder?
