Hi.Just wondering how much a bottle of decent champagne (eg. Moet)retails
for in Tobago. Also general costs of liquor.Does anyone know a good
bakery in Castara or alternatively any place that does ready made
picnics??Thanks!

Rebecca, hello.Castara is renowned for its'bread. As for champers--don't know. But a bottle of full strength branded whisky is a lot cheaper than here, across the bar maybe £7/8!
As for picnics--you mean take-aways-may be Vera's or Margeritte's.
I think, but not sure that Cascreole do take-away also.

Hi Rebecca
You could always buy your champagne airside at the UK duty free??? Think that's what I will be doing.

Champagne costs about TT$300 per bottle here... cheapest place to get it (and most other alcohol) is Miles Almandoz in Scarborough.

The best bread in Castara is available Thursdays and Saturdays from the village ladies, who bake it fresh in the open air behind the school. The coconut pies and fruit buns are highly recommended too!
