Browsing the internet I found some press comments put together on some hotel's website. Thought it would be nice to quote a few of them here. To read them all,

Our island of the year is Tobago. Between us we have notched up most of the islands in the Caribbean but, for no accountable reason, we had overlooked the last in the chain. Expecting mediocrity, again for no accountable reason, we found it came as close to the template of Caribbean perfection as you can find. Its beaches were sandy, shady and occasionally superb, the bird-life brilliant, the scenery only just short of spectacular, the islanders friendly and, despite the ease of getting there, the impact of tourism seemed remarkably light. (The Sunday Times)
. . . the easygoing pace of life in a place that, happily, time forgot. (The Islands Magazine)
Englishman's Bay in Tobago is even more amazing, all greens, blues and yellows, a jungle-on-sea wilderness that would send a hotel developer into paroxysms. (The Sunday Times)
Tobago fits people's image of a Caribbean island, with its rich forests, beautiful beaches, palm trees and blue seas, marine and coral life, and friendly people. (Travel Trade Gazette)
Englishman's Bay on the north coast is unimaginably beautiful. . . . It would take a great painter to do justice to the visual feast created by the yellow of the sand, the blue of the sea and the green of the surrounding foliage. (The Daily Mail)
I see people rise at dawn to wander the trails in sheer gratitude that the world is still this beautiful. (Conde Nast Traveller)
People here count their wealth in friendship and take the time to cultivate them. It's their recipe for a long and happy life. (National Geographic)
