What I like about this forum

On most forums there are moderators who force everybody to stick to the topic ](*,) Whereas here it's not unusual to have things turn into an episode of Monty Python. Life is too short to always have to be serious and it's fun just to act silly once in a while.

So everybody, keep up the good work \:D/

Hi Bill

Here, here! What sort of a holiday would it be if everyone took it all too seriously and didn't have time for a laugh while preparing for their arrival - or after their return?

Having said that, I recall two different readers writing to me criticising me for allowing this banter and for forcing readers to wade through "pages of inane comment". The hardest part is replying to such letters. I am no diplomat and tempted to reply "Get a life!". Just goes to show though, you can't win them all.

Reminds me of the lady who wrote about three years ago and said the site would never be a success because it was so judgemental.

and now for something completely different...

I think its nice that everybody is having fun once in a while. it just shows the type of people who mostly come to tobago. cool and open folks who just want their fun and no overorganized stress-tour like the janapnese have them (can only speak for germany: bussloads that run out of the bus, take a picture and back in...10 countries in 7 days...).
thats not what we have here... and this forum shows it well. tobago is all about taking some time off from exploring sometimes and have a beer in a beachbar, chat with some folks you never met before and stare out into the rain if nessecary...no worries, no stress and a good laugh thats TOBAGO!

enjoy

Steve,

It helps when one of the inmates is running the asylum

Fortunately if you tell them once to "Get a life" you probably won't have to deal with them a second time. And two out of 2100 registered members and who knows how many other visitors shows that the inmates are happy
