We ‘ve just returned after spending two lovely weeks in one of the apartments Judy and Yvon Gemnet offer under the roof of there big house on there estate, Bijou des Caraibes.
To be short, it was perfect!
The location is perfect, lots of space, silence, only to be broken by birds (and our two year old son Sam. Sorry, in case someone noticed….), beautiful colourful garden and a wonderful clean pool.
Above that, the perfect hostess! Judy threats her guest as if they all are royals.
Whether you need a mobile phone or an extra towel. One word is enough and she got it arranged straight away.
Staying at Bijou des Caraibes means staying with Judy and Yvon. One night they invited the guests and neighbours to a barbecue party in the garden. Like a true cook, Yvon handled the food with flair while Judy overloaded her guests and friends with her warmth and interest in all.
We rented the two bedroom apartment during the Christmas period. It’s spacious, comfortable and serviced like being in a hotel (every day cleaning, fresh towels and bed linen). According to our standards, the apartment was all we needed. Air-conditioned, separate bedrooms, large shower, room enough to play with his toys for Sam and a well equipped kitchen. For us, this was the perfect place to spent our holiday and the perfect location to start all our trips. And most of all, the pool was our perfect place to entertain Sam after spending a day on the beach, on a boat or after a visit to one of Tobago’s highlights.
After seven visits to Tobago, several times at Sherwood Park apartments, staying at Judy’s and Yvon’s place was a good choice. Don’t get me wrong, Sherwood Park is still a very good place to be. This time however, with a two year old who feels like he owns the world, now he can run, climb and tries to take off every time he gets the change, the secure surroundings, the grills in front of the doors, the fact that there is a separate bedroom and the fact that the apartment is situated on the lower floor (perfect with kids, no balcony), made Bijou des Caraibes the right choice.
Sherwood Park is still one of our favourites. Bijou des Caraibes is now added on that list too.
We can highly recommend everyone to stay at Judy’s. We don't think you will ever find more hospitable people than Judy and Yvon.
Judy and Yvon, thank you very much for having us. Sam is asking us when we go visit Judy again. So, when it’s up to us, we will definitely visit you again.
