Hi there,

I'm new here and about to make my first trip to Tobago next monday. Myself and my soon to be husband are going for our honeymoon and staying at the Beachcomber cabins for all but the last 2 days of our fortnight when we're staying at Millers Guesthouse. It was a bit iffy as to whether we'd get here or not due to the British Airways strikes but thankfully they're off now so I can look forward to our trip.

I was going to bring our laptop to keep in touch with our kids (my parents are taking them to Tenerife for a hol too) but am unsure. Are there any internet cafes or places we can send e-mails from? We're fairly close to Scarborough as I understand so if anyone knows anywhere that would be great.

Really looking forward to coming to Tobago, it will be our first trip to the caribbean and my partners first non packagy holiday. I'm much more an independent traveller, but he's a bit new to it all!

Hello Kirsty

Welcome aboard!

There are Internet cafés in Scarborough and I'm sure the owners of the Beachcomber Cabins will let you use their computer to check your mail at home. I can't speak for Millers, as I know the place, but have never met the owner.

Have a great trip and be sure to let us know how you get on.

Hi Kirsty

Since you made your reservation we have installed wifi high speed internet which beams throughout the resort - so you can sit in your cabin, by the pool or even on the beach, surfing the www etc. But you must have a network card installed as we cannot loan you one, and a US 2 flat pin adaptor to recharge the laptop. We do not charge for this service.

See you soon

Hi Steve and thanks for the welcome. Glyn, thanks for that too, had seen about the WIFI but as our laptop charger has just broken on us, we were considering if it was worth us getting a new one at late notice to still take the laptop or just hunt down some cafes.

looking forward to meeting you in real life soon!
