Reassurance Please

I last visited the Coco Reef with my husband in 2004 for a much needed long planned holiday. We absolutely loved Tobago and the CR. Unfortunately, three days after we arrived my mother-in-law died and we had to cut short our trip and return to the uk. We are going back in May to finish the holiday we missed but I have been a little worried by negative reviews on "other sites". Are there any recent visitors to the CR who can reassure me that the hotel is as wonderful as it was in 2004?
PS Steve loved mytobago first time round and delighted to see you are still providing such helpful info.

Hi,
I wanted to be one of the first to reassure you! I got married at the Coco Reef in November 2005 and I thought it was the most wonderful place I've ever visited in my life. Over the last couple of nights I've visited some of the review sites that you've probably seen - just on a kind of nostalgia trip and I couldn't believe my eyes!!! How anyone can put down or dislike Coco Reef I don't know. They must be people who really aren't suited to the caribbean way of life and want everything done at 100mph! You are so lucky to be returning there as I would give my right arm to go back and experience it all again but finances won't allow me.
Go and enjoy!

Hi Yvonne

We have just returned from 2 wonderful weeks at Coco Reef. We stayed there in 2004 and had a good time so decided to return this year.
We have travelled the Caribbean over the past 20 years, and include Coco Reef as one of the nicest places to stay. We could not fault anything. The staff are great - check out Lucy in the bar/restaurant - she's a good sport. Food great - we were all inclusive - only way to travel! Have a fab time - we will be going back!! : Let us know if you want any other info!

Thank you both for the positive feedback. We are really looking forward to our visit and will post a report on our return.
