Trip report - Island Girl

We did a cruise with the Island Girl on January 2007. I was lucky enough to win it on myTobago –competition. We didn’t really have any expectations and arrived to Mt. Irvine Bay with open minds. We found the Island Girl to be big enough for close to thirty people and it seemed very comfortable. The vessel was quite new and it was in a good shape. The captain Scott Clarke and his crew were very nice and we had nice chats with them. We ate lunch at Englishman’s Bay and we have to honestly admit that it was the best meal we ever had in Tobago! Delicious!!! Unfortunately our trip was close to full moon, which meant that the sea was a little bit rough and we had some people suffer from it. But it’s a risk you have to take if you go on a boat trip. Fortunately we weren’t seasick but had a after-feeling from last night Sunday School... We really enjoyed our day at Island Girl and wish to go again.

Hello Johanna & Pasi,

After we left Castara we went down to Crown Point for the next week. We also went on Island Girl the day after Sunday School (lots of drinks) and then to top off all the beer and rum punch we had on board we returned to Sandy Point just in time for the free welcoming Rum Punch Party. %*} I vaguely remember we ate dinner at the resort that evening as it was within crawling distance.

Mary Lou and I agree that the lunch grilled and served by Captain Scott and his crew was one of the best while on the island. We would highly recommend this trip.

Bill,

Glad to hear that you and Mary Lou had a good time too. I wish we could've been in the same trip - that would've been fun.

Now thinking afterwards I would have definitely picked any other day than Monday because of Sunday School  . What goes for the hungover - there's nobody else to blame but me  .
