Martin and I were collected and returned to our hotel by Ranny's lovely wife Shurlann for our trip. They are based where the old lime tree restaurant used to be - about a mile along from the Grafton hotel.

Ranny's quads are quiet 4-stroke, 150cc, road legal registered vehicles, and only 8 weeks old therefore in excellent condition.

After donning helmets, we went to the 'test area' to ensure that we could control the quads ok. One passed the proficiency inspection, we then were off along tracks and unmade roads until we parked up to walk to a waterfall. Whilst walking to this waterfall, a guy that worked close by informed us that other tourists had been robbed earlier that day, and he had seen a local guy walking to the fall about 5 mins ahead of us. That put us off swimming in the pool as the chap was still there.

The quads were great fun, and Ranny ensures that you dont go too mad by maintaining a steady pace at the front.

We had a great time, and I would recommend this trip for an afternoon. The quads are very easy to operate (automatic), so dont be put off by that. Locals were very pleased to see him, waving and saying hello on most occasions.

cost was 400tt for 3+ hours - longer if you wanted to stay at the waterfall area I suspect.

For the 'old of mind' we did not venture near a beach / sand / people and roar along (other posts here refer).
