Staying in Castara?

Hi All

Arrived back from two weeks in lovely Castara on Feb 8, ( well my body did, my heart is still there). Just wanted to write a recommendation for a lovely guy called Horace Jackson who I've not seen mentioned in this forum.

Horace looks after Toad Hall, Toad Heights and Tadpoles and the people that stay there, but he is also a trained and registered tour guide with a great knowledge of the island. He took us to Sunday School, the rainforest and even helped to organise our very short notice DIY wedding. He will put together a customised tour for you or simply taxi you from A to B. He knows the fisherman, the boat owners, the dive operators, (everybody it seems) and his charges are very reasonable. I can't recommend him highly enough!

His Phone No. on Tobago is (868) 733 7832.

Hi Tony,

it is good to hear that Horace is recomended here as a good tour guide because he is definately very good and a very friendly and helpful person.

Thank you for that!

Hi Gisela

Yeah, I thought that it would be good to try and raise Horace's profile using this site. Did you meet his wife, Suzanne? A lovely, lovely lady!

Hi Tony,

more than one time Horace took me to town or wherever I had to go and I met his wife two or three times. (Couldn't remember her name, thanks for that). She also took me to town with her car.

So when are you going back? Now that you felt the spirit again

Cheers

Hoping to get back next year, Jan/Feb, to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We were married on Mt. Dillon overlooking Castara on Feb 2 2007. Horace was one of our witnesses and he and Suzanne were guests at our wedding supper at Cascreole.
