We have been back in England now a week and we still hear the waves of Castara Bay hitting the beach just below the apartments and lulling us to sleep.
We spend 2 wonderful weeks in the apartment "motmot" with our 2 grownup sons in the apartment next to us. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were met by the friendly smiling face of Brian "AliBaba" Taylor and one of his drivers who collected us and our luggage in 2 vehicles we were made to feel very welcome.
At the apartments itself it was wonderful to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere and listening to the afore mentioned waves, watching the multitude of birds visiting us and enjoying our hosts's small kitten popping in now and again for a visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed the close proximity of the beach and the reef, and for us snorkelers it was an added bonus that there is a family of stingrays living in the bay who more than once put on a such a wonderful display that we felt as if in a National Geographic documentary. Oh, did I mention that we also saw a turtle, barracudas, loads and loads of angelfish, trunkfish, parrotfish, rock-hopper beauties and all the other "usual suspects" of a caribbean reef, and all that just feet away from our apartment.
Those apartments had really everything we needed; quite spacious, comfortable beds, cleaning service and change of bedlinen and towels every 3rd day, supply even of beachtowels, and the owners Brian "Alibaba" and Stephanie Taylor were always at hand if needed.
Should we ever be fortunate enough to come back to Tobago, we know we will be back at the Seabreeze in Castara.
