myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hi everyone

Anyone got any experiences or have heard by reputation who is better - LB or Frankie's tours. Both seem to do very similar trips and we are keen to do some water-based ones for snorkeling in addtion to other things we have planned. We like being on the water as well as in it!

Have not come across many references to either on here and neither are reviewed.

Really wondered if there is much to choose between them re quality and type of boat used etc - may be tempted to go on Beach BBQ trip and not sure who to book with.

Alternatively any other suggestions would be welcome....

So far we have car hire booked for 2 days with Sheppy, are looking into the Island Girl sailing trip, might do a speed boat/power boat trip too and will go to Sunday School probably via taxi.

Any advice would be great

LB Tours is owned by Lindley Barry - now goes by the name of Barry. He has got a website - but I'm not sure of the address. He is a really nice guy who used to work for Frankies Tours when we first went to Tobago in 2004. He does very much the same tours as Frankie - but Frankie's is the original. We did the Rum Punch Beach Party with Frankie's and it was our most memorable day on the island yet.

Sounds like Frankie's may be the better option then and since I posted the messge last week I have seen him mentioned a few times in places.

I found both of their websites ages ago when I was first intersted in Tobago and in the absence of any other info couldn't really see who may be best to book with as the trips they run are the same, same days, price etc. Now I know why - thanks Jill for your insight!
