Hi Jim

Welcome aboard!

There are over 370 accommodation properties on Tobago and you can pay anything from US$20 per night for a room to US$2000 per night for certain villas. So much will depend upon your tastes and preferences, not to mention your pocket.

The best place to start would be our accommodation listings and reviews. Click on the Accommodation link in the blue menu bar at the top of this page. Our accommodation listings include EVERY vacation accommodation property on Tobago that we have been able to trace. You can use the standard lists (our Recommended list is a good place to start) or use the advanced search to indicate your preferences and fine-tune the results.

A similar situation applies to car hire. Start by checking out our articles on the subject (menu: Tobago/Getting Around/Car Hire).

Its worth mentioning that Tobago is a very casual island. The dress attire at even the fanciest multi-star resorts on the island is only "smart casual", so I don't think you will find that a problem.

Have fun with your research.

p.s. There's another half-dozen reviews due to be published over the next week or so, so keep your eye on our 'recommended' listing.
