POOR PLAY FROM HARD PLAY

Hello all...Had 2 glorious weeks in Bago, got back last weekend 
What a place, everything & everyone A1+...EXCEPT HARDPLAY!!! £400 for a friend & I for an 8 hour charter on Hardplay lite, & niether of us touched a rod all day 
On booking, I stressed on several occasions that as my friend had not fished before, we just wanted a "fun" day sport fishing...wahoo, mahi mahi, & the like, & turned up full of excitment at the prospect of a good day on the water.
On boarding HP lite, we were greeted by our crew for the day, Tyrone the skipper, & smokey, (yeh man).
Tyrone asked if we were sure we wanted the (small fish) as he put it, & we confirmed this. After much muttering /cursing & rummaging around the various lockers on the boat Tyrone emerged to tell us that he did'nt have any suitable lures so it would have to be a marlin day....Don't get me wrong, I certainly would'nt object to hooking up with the mighty marlin, but I know that it can be a long long day for little or no reward. (as was the case) We had 1 fish come up to strike 3 of the 5 lures we were trolling, & Tyrone got confused as to which rod to hit, & consequently missed them all 
This "show" however encouraged Tyrone to troll up & down the same outside ledge ALL day, despite the reports coming over the radio that the other boats were catching on the inside, where the baitfish were!!!& where smokey was urging him to try.
Anyway, on the trip back in we learned that Tyrone was not happy, as he had been dropped from Hardplay1, (which was fishing in the tournament that was on at the time, & would doubtless have been more rewarding $$$) - just to take us out on hp lite

I have also heard since, although I'm not sure if it's fact or not that any marlin tagged & released by a pleasure boat is worth $300!!! IF this is the case, then that would go some way to compensating tyrone for his lost perks on hp1 that day.
Anyway, a HUGE dissapointment & a mistake that won't be repeated....but the only downer on an otherwise GREAT holiday....roll on next year, & GRAND SLAM
