Giving people lifts

Steve,
Some time back you requested that visitors offer people lifts as the transport was so bad.
I was winding my way back from Scarborough to Castara when I saw a strange apparition.
A wild man wearing one wellington boot waving me down.
I stopped, and he begged me for 25c, quick calculation and I gave him 10TT as he was starving, and I went on my way feeling good and watching him dance down the road.
I wasn't aware he was famous for this, and as a result spent the next ten days driving around him or practically over him.
( Being a soft touch, if Linda had not been there I would have given him more but the edge of her tongue was sharper)
This did not stop me from picking the odd person up, and I would urge anyone else to do the same if they feel safe.
(He did give me stories to regal my friends with from now on)
