Ted's Sunshine Tours

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows of these tours or have been on any. Some friends and I are visiting in September and booked some tours with the company after seeing a link on the website of the villa we're staying at (Villa De Lena). The prices seem great, we even got a slight discount because we booked more than one excursion! Just wanted to see what kind of feedback there is.

Secondly, is there anywhere that you can officially swim with turtles?

Any kind of general info regarding where we're staying would be useful aswell; restaurants, shops etc.

Thanks

Laura

Hello Laura-May

Welcome aboard!

I have no personal experience of Ted's Sunshine Tours, but I believe they are an established and reputable small company.

It is not illegal to swim with turtles - just very difficult to achieve. Its all a matter of luck whether you see them or not. Under NO circumstances should you approach, touch or otherwise bother the turtles.

Have a scout through the menu bar at the top of the page - you will find tons of pages giving information on restaurants and everything else you need to know to get the most from your holiday.

Enjoy!

Thanks.

That's fair enough, the only reason I asked about the turtles is because a friend recently got back from one of the nearby islands saying they did some amazing turtle swimming and snorkelling excursions and that I should see if they do the same in Tobago. I had a quick internet surf and came up dry so I assumed it wasn't really done there anyway.

Don't know whether this will reasure you or not... but Thomas Cook use Ted's Sunshine Tours for all their trips.

They did our hotel transfers and then any tours booked through the rep were with them.

Can't comment further as we were very naughty and didn't meet our rep...we did our own thing and booked all our trips direct. Non with Ted's. The airport transfers were fine.

I'm sure someone will have experience of them though and we did not hear any bad reports.

That's good news Caragh M :) It's just nice to get a feel for the company as we'll be spending a few days with them! If Thomas Cook use them, they must be well-organised etc

Thanks
