HI STEVE,

WE HAVE JUST STAYED AT COCO REEF, OUR STAY BEGAN ON 24TH MARCH. THE HOTEL IS EVERYTHING YOU SAID AND MORE, SO MUCH MORE IN FACT THAT WE ARE RETURNING AT THE SAME TIME IN 2004.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY SHOPS CLOSE BY THE HOTEL. WE FOUND THE GROCERY STORE, JUST PAST THE TT BANK. I AM THINKING ABOUT GIFTS, SNORKELLING GEAR ETC. ALSO DO YOU KNOW OF ANY CATAMARAN TRIPS ETC. THAT HAVE SAFETY IN MIND. WE TOOK THE SPEYSIDE TRIP, AND WENT OUT ON A GLASS BOTTOMED BOAT TO SNORKEL. NO ONE MENTIONED LIFE VESTS ETC. I WOULD FEEL HAPPIER WEARING ONE. THANKS. DV

Hi Doreen

I’m delighted you enjoyed the Coco Reef and are returning next year.

There are various small shops further down past the TT Bank, but nothing special, to be honest. You are probably best getting snorkelling kit over here to be frank – I’m sure there must be some good sporting stores in Manchester.

Kalina Cats were very safety conscious, but alas are now only doing private charters. Sadly, I think that as far as glass-bottom boat operators are concerned, life vests are probably nothing something commonly offered or mentioned. It’s always worth asking them before you leave though.

Sorry I can’t be more help on this one, but maybe others will have a few suggestions.

(p.s. Just as a gentle pointer on netiquette, typing in capital letters is considered to be the equivalent of SHOUTING and is best only used to emphasise a point. Hope you don't take offense at me mentioning this, but I would hate anybody to come on and 'flame' you. )
