I stayed at Petit Careme in April, 2007 with my family - husband and two sons, ages 3 and 8. The experience was absolutely lovely. The apartment we stayed in was pretty, cozy and clean with all appliances in the kitchen and a thoughtful provision of basic amenities. Whatever was not available was easily obtenable from the housekeeper, Charmaine who was readily helpful, and very pleasant and efficient. Although the apartment well suited our purpose, I had the opportunity to view the villa above which was absolutely breathtaking. No wonder it won the "Villa of the Year" award! The overall landscaped grounds were beautiful and included a pool with an adjoining jacuzzi which doubled as a convenient 'kiddie pool'. The groundsman was also pleasant and like Charmaine, willing and helpful as required. Petit Careme was ideal for our situation as a young family with two energetic boys, but would be equally ideal for a honeymooning couple, or as a single persons retreat, whatever the situation... as it offered much in the way of privacy, security and idyllic charm. Babysitting and meal preparation by Charmaine was also optionally available. A vehicle though was a must, because of its location but everything (grocery store, beaches, etc.,was a short drive away (five to fifteen)minutes. Overall the experience was very positive and relaxing. I'd love to stay there again and highly recommend it.
