myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hi all

Couple of questions about customs and departure taxes:

1. I am taking some relatively expensive photo gear with me on my trip (around $3000CDN) and was wondering if I would have to pay any taxes to take it into the country.

2. When leaving Tobago, I assume that there is a departure tax to be paid, anyone know how much it is ? And is it per person, including children under 12 ?

Hi Johnathan

1. No - no taxes payable.

2. See Tobago/Getting To Tobago/Air Travel/Departure Information - but yes, there is a tax of TT$100 per person. Children under 5 are exempt.
