Hello

I don't know if you will remember me, but on the anniversary of my husband's death, I wanted to come back to the place that made all our dreams come true and say thank you again. I will never forget the kindness shown to us (Rachel and Andy Harries) by Steve and forum members back in 2004. I have such fond memories of our return trip to the paradise of Tobago and am so jealous of those of you who are scheduled to go there this year...

Rachel :)

Hello Rachel

This is CREEPY! Just two days ago I was having a phone chat about aerial photos of Tobago with a long-time contributor to the site and he asked if I knew how you were getting on.

How ARE you? Tell all! How is not-so-little Josh getting on?

Hi Steve

Ah! That's why my ears were burning!

Everything's good, though obviously I feel very sad and reflective today. My mum just sent me an email saying: "You should cry because he's gone, but smile because he was here" and that about sums it up.

I have been busy with the magazines and website (http://www.weddingideasmagazine.co.uk) and the forum http://www.wedding-ideas-magazine.com (though your forum is infinitely less scary!). I have also been traveling a lot and writing about it. I went to Hawaii last September, Nevis just before Christmas - similar to Tobago in some ways - am off to Barbados in August and the Seychelles in the spring. I have, of course, been getting lots of diving in, too. Looking back at that, it appears that life is very good.

Josh is full of it, and more than ready for school in September. I can't wait for him to go - being five in October means that he will be old for his year, so he's gagging to move up a stage.

The picture of 'Andy's' helicopter is still one of my favourites :)

Love

Rachel

Hi Rachel

I am SO delighted. I'm sure I speak for lots of readers - and, yes, there are many 'regulars' from back in 2003/2004 who will remember your tragic story and share my delight that things have turned out well for you.

It is only right that we should reflect on Andy's brave fight and mourn his passing. Our Spirit of Andrew Harries Aerial Gallery at http://www.myTobago.info/aerial.php will hopefully be a fitting way to both rejoice in his memory and share some of the lovely views that he would have enjoyed during that last trip to Tobago.

God bless you and Josh, Rachel - and make sure its not so long before we hear from you again.

I have just read Andy's story which has moved me very much. It is heartening to see how strong the human spirit can be, and to know there are so many good people out there. My best wishes to Rachel and Joshua.
Regards Carol
