myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

I recently got married out in Tobago through 'Tobago Weddings' and had the most fantastic time. I cannot recommend it highly enough to those who want to get away from the stress of organising a wedding at home.

The atmosphere was so laid back, we got to pick our own location (which was superb) and everything else was organised for us. All we had to do was turn up.

I’m so delighted that you had such a fantastic time and that your wedding went so well. May we congratulate you both and wish you every happiness.

We receive regular private correspondence from visitors to Tobago and the most regular ‘moans’ are car hire and weddings. In general, the hotels do a grand job with wedding arrangements, but it is just such an important occasion that getting it right 95% of the time simply isn’t good enough – it must be right 100% of the time.

As you will have seen from previous posts, we now strongly recommend that couples contact Marie at Tobago Weddings. Whilst the hotels do their best, it is obviously a much safer bet entrusting this vital occasion to an expert organiser; someone who does nothing else but arrange weddings. Marie is Tobago’s only wedding co-ordinator. Originally from England, she’s lived on the island for fourteen years and really knows the local scene – the best wedding locations, caterers, florists, photographers, transport, etc.

So, thanks for your feedback. May Jill and I wish you the same happiness that we have enjoyed these past 30 years My only regret is that we didn’t have the opportunity to get married on Tobago.
