I've emailed caribstu twice in the last couple of weeks and got no reply...I used the email on his website..

Anybody know if he's still around?

Thanks,

Hi Patrick

He's certainly around - he wrote to me on 23rd September to say the shark fishermen had come back for two days and then disappeared again. Haven't heard anything since. Maybe he's gone "off-island" for a few days for a break. I would try again.

Patrick

I was intrigued by your comments so used Stuart's website and emailed him. I got a reply in just over the hour. He says he's replied to both your emails and nothing has bounced back as undeliverable, so his replies have probably gone into your spam/junk mail folder. Suggest you check there first. He says he's re-sent his last reply in view of my enquiry on your behalf.

Definately still around

Thank you Steve for bringing this to my attention. I can assure all interested parties that i am very much still around and offering private diving.

Patrick i did on both occasions reply to your emails in detail and promptly. One thing my previous clients could tell you as that i am always prompt in replying to emails. I can only think that your email filters have put the replys into a spam or junk mail folder, I have not had any problems with other enquires or contacts so i feel it must be something to do with your spam filter.

below is my response on Tuesday to your last email:

Hi Pat

I do recall your email and I remember replying to it.

Considering that you have not dived since 2005 you definitely need to do a full scuba review, and I would recommend you do this at your local dive centre in the UK so you don’t lose valuable holiday time. If this is not possible then you will find that your first day diving in Tobago will be spent doing the review. If you have any further questions or need any advice on this please feel free to email me.

On the second matter, normally clients need to book 30 days in advance to get the pre booked rates but I am fairly flexible on this, once dates are ok and you pay the deposit then the booking is confirmed and I’ll give you the pre booked rate, it’s more for people who turn up without a booking and wish to dive but to be honest, 99% of the time I cant help them anyway because I get pretty much booked out well in advance.

Which brings me to the next point, I seem to recall some slight conflict with your dates, I think I’m either booked or at least booked for part of the time you’re in Tobago so you’ll need to email me with the dates once again.

Once again sorry for seemingly not getting back to you before, but I did respond, the internet in Tobago is not always reliable but perhaps you need to check your spam filter.

Regards

Hello Stuart,

Thanks for the reply.

It is really odd as I have checked again and got nothing. The odd thing is that our filters can't be all that efficient as I get quite a lot of spam mail.

OK. I won't have time in the UK for a review but I understand why you would recommend it. I'll have to see what can be done when I get to Tobago.

My dates are 21st October to 4th November.

I'll also need to speak to my wife (who no longer dives) regarding how long I can spend diving whilst there.

Maybe you could either let me know via this website or email my home address on [email protected] to see about dates / costs etc?

Many thanks again for your replies and I'm sorry we didn't get to be in touch a little earlier.

Ah, Patrick, you might want to disguise your email address somewhat if you're posting on the Internet. As it stands it's easy for spammers to harvest automatically, and then you'll get a lot more spam!

Try something like jnorichards (at) blueyonder (dot) co (dot) uk, which is usually enough to confuse the harvesters but is readable for your real readers.
