I'm sad to admit that my honeymoon itinerary is largely based around this show. We'll be in Trinidad just long enough to visit Richard's!

If you liked that show try this one. It will really whet your appetite!

Globe Trekker: Eastern Caribbean

http://www.pilotguides.com/destination_ ... /index.php

She begins in Trinidad, then Tobago, Grenada, a couple of other islands and then back to Tobago. She mispronounces a few Tobago place names but is otherwise fun to watch. I bought it at Tower.com after seeing it on the Discovery Channel.

Enjoy, Hugh 8)

PS. It's not just about food.

I saw the bizarre food one when it aired on tv. The way he kept saying "Treenee" was really irritating me but when I showed it to my mom she said "he coulda say two knee or one knee, he still did a great job" lol. I also found it disturbing the way the man waited until he was over the pot of souse to unloose and shake out his locs then he had the nerve to stick his finger in the pot...YUCK. All in all the show showcased the island really nicely though.

Yea Tobago never seems to get quite as much press but I agree w/ David -we don't want everyone discovering our secret

Thanks Natasha, Hugh and C. for the links.

I remember the first time I was offered Chickenfeet soup in my first visit to Tobago in 1998 at Sunday School. I have to say I never tasted it, but any kind of Roti. And almost any kind of fish I could get and also Cong (delicious) and lobster (adorable).

As David wrote it is not the worse that Tobago is left out because tourism is getting more and more. Should not go too quick.

Cheers
Gisela
