Hi!,
We've done the Gilpin Trace with Newton George the last couple of years and we are going again in 2008. Have a look at the review on the site. My kids were 4 and 8 the first time we went and they loved it. Newton is great with them.
The Argyll waterfall is good too. Again you can read about it on the site.
Have a great time
Anthony.

The trail up to Argyll Waterfall is much more easier now compared with some 3 years ago, easy even for children from 4-5 years.
The road can be very moddy sometimes in rain season and after after a shower. But it´s only when you have to cross the water you will have to carry small children.
You can also take a swim at the waterfall but teh water is quite cold.
Beside the waterfall there´s a trail or maybe I should say a "stair", wich make it possible to reach the higher levels too.
A tourguide can also tell you some about the the nature on the way up.

Just one thing about Argylle Waterfall - if you are thinking of swimming, the bottom pool is very deep and maybe not good for small children. When we visited last year a young boy had drowned in this pool. He was in a party of scouts who were unsupervised. It was a big shock for all the guides and for the local people we spoke to around Roxborough. It was obviously
not a regular occurence. Visit the falls, it is a wonderful place, but be aware of the dangers.
