myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hi everyone - this is my first post, though I've been looking at the site for quite a while.
Bit of a last-minute question, as we're off to Tobago on Sat. . We're at a villa in Bon Accord for our first week, and then at Blue Waters Inn for the second. Can anyone tell us if there are any (reliable) cash machines/ATMs up north, or should we try to take enough cash? Or can we get money via cards at the BWI (at not too awful a rate)?

Counting the days, and checking the weather reports!

Welcome aboard!

As far as I'm aware, there are no ATM cash machines in Speyside. The nearest are Roxborough or Charlotteville. Therefore, you would be advised to draw sufficient cash whilst in Bon Accord, where several machines are within easy reach.

We're hiring a jeep, so a trip to Charlotteville or even Roxborough wouldn't be a problem as long as the machines are working. We'll try to guess how much we'll need, but don't want to run short or end up with a stash of T&T$ at the end of the holiday!

We went to Tobago in 2000 so are looking forward to seeing what's changed and what's still there. Happy to see there's a new n-w coast road - we'll definitely try that out.
