Lillibets was designed and built by the friendly and helpful manager Bruce Taylor and he went out of his way to satisfy all our requests. Like most of the accommodations at Heavenly Bay, Lillibets is fairly new, built only a couple of years ago and like any new guest house it is still maturing as the customer's needs become known.

There are only 2 large units on each floor of Lillibets with HUGE balconies that look out over the valley and the village. We stayed on the upper floor and the bright and cheerful one bedroom apartment had natural wood floors and an amazing wood cathedral ceiling created by the architectural roof, reminiscent of ancient China.

Lillibets is the highest of the guest houses at Heavenly Bay situated on the hill above Angel Apartments. About 50 steps lead to the upper level. Each one bedroom apartment is equipped with a medium sized fridge, gas stove and the basic cooking utensils. A bit more kitchen equipment and more dishes would be nice. The all tile bathroom is large and well ventilated with plenty of hot water.

Wicker furniture can be moved to the balcony where you will likely want to spend most of your time. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a futon in the living room. One area for improvement is the mattress and the bedding. Our apartment had a securely installed strong box which helped make the holiday much more relaxed. Overall Lillibets was good value for the money and we would definitely go there again.

We hope that all the apartment owners at Heavenly Bay and Castara cooperate to protect the amazing beach and coral reef that Castara is blessed with. Although regulations for septic treatment in Tobago are nothing like we are used to in the northern countries, we hope that the owners of all the guest houses in Castara join together cooperatively to protect this most wonder place, not only for themselves and their guests, but for future generations as well. Castara is truly a special place.
