myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hi all,

I hope someone can advice me – and calm me down a bit…

I will be arriving in Tobago shortly, and I am (desperately) trying to get hold of Alice Farling with whom I booked a villa accommodation. I need some questions answered and some confirmations before arriving, but despite of emailing her directly last week and also posting a message to them via their web site, I haven’t received any feedback… I am concerned that so close to the arrival, I have no contact with her or Porridge, who is supposed to help out when in Tobago…

I hope someone knows which accommodation/person I am referring to here, as I do not wish to disclose more information… if you see what I mean…

Does anyone have contact details for (these well known people) Alice or Porridge?
I guess the best is to communicate directly to my email to avoid disclosing these contact details to wider audience… my email is - [email protected]

Fear not - I'm sure everything is in order. Alice Farling was here in Tobago until around a week ago. There is no phone line up at Paradise Point Villa (or at least it wasn't working when we were last there) and my guess is that she wasn't able to collect and respond to email while she was there. I am going to contact her on your behalf. I can't release her email address without specific permission, but in the meantime you can use our Paradise Point email enquiry page ( http://www.mytobago.info/accommodation2g.php/224 ) or their own website ( http://www.paradisepointvilla.com/reservations.htm ).

In the meantime, I have spoken to Porridge and he says to contact him so he can reassure you. His personal mobile number is 766-3656, house is 660-7702 or email address is [email protected].

All is now sorted out!
Alice was indeed travelling but replied as soon as she was able to.

I always worry too much when organising trips, hence also the recent concerns.
But in the end there really was no reason for my concerns.

Steve, your forum is just absolutely fantastic help and information source!
What would we do without it!!!
I wonder if any other “islands” have similar media for the travellers…

It is just fantastic to be part of this “fan club of Tobago”…

Now, it is pouring down in the good old Bristol, but I am counting down the days when I can see my beloved paradise again…
