Hello, we are taking our small kids to Tobago - store bay and then castara and I wondered if anyone had a name of a good childrens doctor on the island. I am sure I am being paranoid but it makes me feel better to have a contact in case one of my kids should get ill.....
Thanks!

Can't offer any personal reccomendation but pharmacies, doctors, dentists are listed on this site. Go to "odds & sods" then "health & medical".There is a female doctor who seems to be oriented to paediatrics. Also you will find emergency numbers.

Amber, don't worry so.Tobago is a modern country, plenty of medical assistance and a reasonable hospital(old but capable, and as good as your average NHS)most villages, including Castara have a medical centre, with visiting doctors and nurses,Castara also has an ambulance stationed there.

Dr Maria Remy is a paediatrician who works at the Scarborough Hospital and also has a private practice.
Her contact number is 685 9033.
Scarborough Hospital also has a second paediatrician on staff (Dr Gillian Wheeler).
