Army print pants allowed?

I am packing my suitcase for Tobago !! But when I was packing I stumbled upon my dark green cargo pants which is great for hiking but remembered that it wasnt allowed to wear army-like prints! I heard that it was forbidden or something.

Now, my pants are green without the camouflage spots , so I was wondering, can I bring it with me or is that dangerous and will people see me as a fundamentalist terrorist or something?

If so , I won't bring it with me just to be sure, and wear just jeans and skirts :D

Essiemeraldie,

I think you will be ok with dark green cargo pants, just remember to leave the gun at home!!

Hello Essiemeraldie,
My husband and son were both wearing plain green cargo pants when we arrived in Tobago last year, which did worry me, but nothing was said by Customs. From what I've read here, it's the mottled camouflage pattern that's not allowed, as it's regarded as "impersonating a member of the armed forces."
I couldn't contemplate wearing heavy jeans in that heat!

Hi
As Carol say, it´s the camo they don´t accept. And it doesn´t matter what type of camo it is, even if it´s a stree camo, No NO!

I believe it will not be a problem if they are all-grenn, BUT, if the style is real army, I would leave it at home. T&T just don´t like to see military dresses on peoples who aren´t military.

Last year I´d see German women change pants at Crown Point Air Port, it wasn´t a real army camo of any nations, it just did look as camo from "somewhere".

I would not take any kind of clothing which look like it belongs to an Armed Forces, you never know if the customs did wake up on wrong side. And I would for sure not have them on when I meet the Security and the Customs!
There are other colours for hiking clothes. But, take your chance if you want, it´s your holyday
