Toucan Inn was the perfect place to spend our two week holiday. I went with my partner in July 2005 and we had such a lovely time. Tobago was such a chilled out country with only a small population of tourists not staying in big all inclusive hotels meaning that you had the chance to experience the local culture and spend time chatting with the local people rather than being surrounded by tourists.

Toucan Inn only had something like 20 rooms and we stayed in two rooms as we were there when Hurricane Emily hit and so had to move out of the beutiful poolside cabin to I suppose a more structurally sound room surrounding a cute little garden.

We got to know the other few guests well and the food at the restaraunt was delicious, not to mention the generous alcohol content in the drinks. The staff were really friendly and some couldn't do enough for you, especially on the night of the storm.

We had one of the best holidays ever there, but it had a lot to do with the other guests, staff and locals who spent time socialising with us and showing us where they like to go and what they like to do on their island. It was amazing :-D
