myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hi, i am flying out to tobago on saturday and was wondering what money to take. after reading several things within the forum i am still just as confused, i have already got the £200 worth of TT`s and now do not know what to take, do i take nothing and just use my card(if so whats the exchange rate like), or do i take travellers cheques, do i take US dollars or finally do i take it all in pounds sterling. Any information would be great as i am swiftly running out of time.

Take credit/debit cards and probaly another TTD200.The exchange rate depends on your bank charges but at the moment about TTD12 to the £

ps do not take US$ as you will be paying twice for currency conversion,and you will queue for hours in the bank to change TC's

Miles, If you plan to use debit/credit cards whilst in Tobago TELL YOUR BANK NOW, we didn't and banks put a stop on our cards (which was lifted only after we phoned them), it is an understandable security measure that they use, but could leave you short of cash if you are unaware.

I saw it! It said the coffers were empty so there was no prize for the 1000th post on the waffle thread, then, as I posted my reply it vanished, you naughty Webmaster!
I waited to see if it re-appeared, but it hasn't, and now I'm nearly as confused as my new pal Jack.

I was a little slow off the mark. I saw Linda's comment about the 1000th post and thought I'd thwart you by posting the 1000th post saying that no prizes were available. Trouble was, having posted it I saw that the count was actually higher. For some reason I hadn't seen your post saying the same. So, my post didn't make sense and I deleted it.

There is some controversy here. I was mistaken about you being number 1000 but Kevin the Lord Protector of the Mermaids says that Linda is the 1000th poster, which I think is also wrong.
On July 4th at 6.59am on this thread Linda said the Waffle had reached 999. Without seeing this thread I posted on the Waffle at 7.07am. making-ahem- me the 1000th poster!
You were next at 8.24am, and as the Waffle thread is my domain I feel I cannot accept the prize, and decree that it should go to you.

I know there is no prize involved but here is how I worked out the 1000th poster.
Count the number of posts on the thread, currently Noe's post of 1.13pm is number 1028, count back 28 you get to Tony, Carol or Linda

I counted back from Noe's last post which was #1028 and feel that Linda P's post at the bottom of page 50 is the 1000th. Congrats Linda

Confusion may arise because the preview page shows 1027 "replies" but the total posts include the original one to incease the count to 1028.
