I am hiring a car from Shetty's car hire however he asked me if i have a credit card, I don't and think it is too late to try and get one as I am arriving next Thursday, do you know whether this is a neccessity? I have asked him but he has not replied.

Thanks!

Hi Meg

Most car rental services take an imprint of your credit card to cover the security/insurance deposit, but then destroy it when the vehicle is returned undamaged. Without a card, you will need to leave a large cash deposit. I'm not sure how much that is.

I know Sheppy was on holiday last week and don't know if he's back yet. I would send him a reminder.

I would be able to take one of my parents credit cards, or would this not be allowed?
