Hi,

My future wife, having a Yugoslav passport, requires a Visa to travel to Tobago for our honeymoon. Does anyone have experience of dealing with the T&T High Commission in London? Since we a flying out in January, I would like to get the visa sorted out well in advance, but the High Commission suggest leaving it until December! Does anyone actually know how long it takes to get a tourist visa for Tobago by post? Having some experience of sending my own passport away for visas, I would be nervous to leave this detail until the last month.

All the best,

Jonathan

Sorry to reply to my own post :) but I've had more contact with the T&T High Commisison in London and can now clarify a few points. This may assist people on this forum from outside the EU or other nations, who require visas.

The High Commission issues tourist visas for a period of three months, valid from the date of their stamp in the passport. This means that you can't apply for a visa earlier than three months before your return date. Secondly, the Commission have assured me that average postal applications require around 10 days to deal with.

All in all, for our trip in January, we are going to send off our application and passport to the High Commission in November.
