Going to Tobago next week and need to find a place where my 4 kids will be happy. They are 13, 11, 8 and 6 years old. Haven't found much in terms of the typical kids' clubs, but can anyone tell me if any of the hotels have organized activities for children? How about the water...is the swimming better on one side of the island this time of year? Can anyone recommend any "adventures" the kids would enjoy? Thanks for any input.

Hi Liza – there were a number of varying age children at the Hilton who seemed to be having a great time in the pool – hoop and water polo net +plenty of room in the large pool for inflatables (2 nice quiet satellite pools for those without children….) Also noticed a younger childs play area behind the pool bar. Food at this bar catered quite well for them too (good burgers/ ice cream sundaes, mozzarella sticks etc). There is however no lifeguard at the pool. Seemed to be some kind of minding available – they do boast a ‘kids club’ (check out link below) Would suggest staying in the North wing as beach is much better there (a really nice long sandy walking beach) Sea shelves shallowly but there is a slight drift and plenty of waves for jumping! However would say that prices are not cheap……

..ps – would recommend taking them to Arnos Vale for the bird feeding circa 4pm – chico & tyrene are the resident very friendly parrots and they will see a tremendous variety of birds close up (+the cakes are good too……)
