Hello All,

My family and friends will be travelling to T&T on Feb 20th, a group of 11 altogether!! And the countdown is on for sun and fun!!! We can hardly wait to get away from the cold and snow (it has been quite a winter in Southwest Ontario!!!)

We are starting out in Trinidad for Carnival....I have no idea what to expect there at all!!!

Then flying to Tobago where we will be staying at the Rainbow Resort in Crowne Point. Hoping for a few suggestions on what to do and see while we are there.

Also any tips on security, I have noticed that the reviews for the Rainbow are very positive, except for the locks, my main concern is our cash as there are no safety deposit boxes.

As far as restaurants, do you suggest we make reservations ahead of time with our large group?

Looking forward to your feedback!!!

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

I'm sure you'll have a great time!

I'd definitely recommend booking a restaurant for so many of you! Not necessarily weeks in advance, but certainly on the day in question if not one or two days before. The island isn't busy, but most places would, I'm sure, appreciate a 'heads-up' that you're coming - even if it's only to make sure they have time to rearrange seating so that you can all sit together! Things are likely to be busier around Carnival, however, so that's another reason to book as soon as you know.

As far as things to do... this website is a great resource, so check out the 'Out and About' section and see what appeals to you! There may be things there that haven't occurred to you. I've been here for six years and still haven't done all the suggestions listed on there! In fact, I've probably done less than half!

We'll see you soon. Have a good journey!
Lisa.

Hi Cindy, there are safety deposit boxes available in the office at Rainbow Resort, we used them last year. Take a walk down to Bago's bar for late afternoon drinks and watch the sunset - amazing.

Have a great time, Linda
