Yes only 5 days to go now, just wanted to say a big thank you to Steve and everyone else who's contributed to answering the questions I didn't even know I wanted answering! I really like to plan for my holidays and using the site I have been able to do just that!
We will be staying at the Rex Turtle Beach for 2 weeks from 18th August (anyone else going then?). I have booked a tour of the island with Yes Tourism, followed by the arrival of the car (also courtesy of YT) and also booked to go horse riding on the beach, (isn't email amazing?)
So expect reviews of all of the above on my return - I always keep a diary when travelling so they could be quite comprehensive!
Many thanks again.
Jacqui B

Have a great trip, Jacqui, and be sure to let us know how you get on.

Who are you going horseriding with? It will be useful to have some feedback as I don't think we've had any on horseriding yet.

Steve,
We are riding with Looking Out Stables, Bon Accord. I booked on line at http://www.essentiallytobago.com which gives a 5% discount and they subsequently confirmed by email...very quickly in fact. The beach ride actually ends up on Turtle beach so husband can sit there waiting with camera in hand!
I rode in St Lucia last September with my 10 year old daughter and it was the most fantastic experience. Just the two of us and a guide riding along a deserted beach and then going bareback in the sea where we discovered a baby turtle. I would recommend it to anyone, even beginners, as even just walking at a slow pace you get a totally different perspective of your surroundings.
Will definately give full report on my return
Jacqui B.

5 Days and counting

Hi Jacqui
Give my best to all at the Rex If you bump into a guy on the beach called Kelton Thomas give him a kick from me he’s a great guy if you want to go to Sunday School or Bird Watching he's your Man. Super Guy as they all are.
Enjoy your holiday I forgot to tell you. If you cross the road opposite the Hotel walk around the road nice walk, lots of woodpeckers to see on the way, this will take you to Black Rock go to the cafe Under the Mango Tree they make the best Pina Colarda you will ever taste give my best to the German lady that runs it you can then stagger back along the beach

Hi Jacqui

We go out on Saturday - our tribe of 6 are staying at the Courland villa, quite close to the Rex Turtle.

We went out last year and stayed at the Le Grand Courland and liked it so much we just had to return.

Yes Tourism feature heavily in our arrangements as well - thanks to them they resolved a double booking on the first villa that we booked (Windance) - which caused us to panic a bit! They have also organised our car very efficiently.

Happy holidays here we come!

Simon
