Beaches crowded weekends? How get to Buccoo from Pigeon P?

Can you please tell me if both Pigeon Point and Store Bay would be more crowded on Saturday and Sunday? (the weekend)

Is Friday better?

We will be in that area Friday to Sunday and would prefer to experience those beaches with less of a crowd.

Would going in the am help?

And will more people at Pigeon Point affect getting a boat tour to Buccoo?

Or how many are on a tour?

How to find/set up a tour while on Pigeon Point of Buccoo?

And also we heard Coral Gardens and the Island Pool which I assume means the Nylon Pool and perhaps all three are part of the same tour.
Is this correct and what is price and how long does it take?

Thank you.
Kathy

Hi Kathy

Beaches pretty much anywhere are going to be less crowded during the week than at weekends. Tobago is no different to anywhere else and Store Bay is very popular with locals. The situation is less noticeable at Pigeon Point, because locals do not visit this – primarily because the admission charges may seem reasonable to tourists, but are exorbitant at local salary levels. Given the situation at Pigeon Point, your own conscience must dictate whether you are prepared to visit this peninsula.

You can arrange boats tours to Buccoo Reef from either Store Bay or Pigeon Point – you’ll see the stalls there. I don’t know how much they cost as I will not go on these tours and add to the destruction of the reef. The number of people on any tour will obviously vary.

Yes, I believe these tours automatically take in the so-called Coral Garden and Nylon Pool. I think the tours take a couple of hours.

Perhaps someone else can comment on prices and Kathy’s other questions.

what is the point on paying to get onto certain beaches if you do not want hussle and bussle go to different beaches, such as stonehaven or the hilton hotel beach. store bay is very small and crowded and you are always been bothered to buy things. it is not at all relaxing
