The Bamboo Walk Hotel was an excellent choice for us, the room was spacious and so was the en suite bathroom. Having a fridge in the deluxe room was worth the extra few dollars per night but an ice making tray would have been nice to make our own ice instead of going to the bar. Although we didn't actually pay for any ice the bar staff wanted to chagre us $5 per bucket. Fair enough if you hadn't already paid for a fridge but we had!
Meals in the restaurant were excellent, the food was lovely, very well presented and value for money.
All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful, although a little more knowledge of public transport would have be welcome. A safe was available for valuables which was a bonus.
The mini bus transportation was a good idea on arrival at the airport as the hotel is a little tucked away in the middle of nowhere. This isn't a problem if you are prepared to walk a short distance to the main road for the local bus or taxi service to Scarborough. There is also a very large shopping mall within walking distance and a beautiful beach.
The pool at the hotel was a delight and the grounds well cultivated and very well kept.
All in all an excellent hotel, we would definitely stay here again should we return to Tobago and would recommend it to our friends.
