The apartment was as we expected and fine for our needs. The agent was extremely helpful and very courteous, going out of his way to help. This helped to alleviate our upset at the near squalid conditions of the beach and immediate surrounding area which was strewn with litter and food. We were there for 3 weeks and this made our stay uncomfortable as we did not want to use the beach. This was even more upsetting because the use of the beach so close to the apartment was one of the reasons for choosing this place. The agent did make efforts to clear up the mess, which we greatly appreciated, and this did make a difference but unfortunatley only for a very short while.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the locals made our stay memorable but we would not recommend apartments in this area to anyone else.

We were staying in Little Bay for two weeks ,at the begining of March.
The beach was as spotless as a beach as a beach can be. Bearing in mind the natural flotsam that washes ashore.
Joey from the Boathouse restaurant raked up rubish, fallen leaves, etc every morning. It was just as clean Jan 2008.
Maybe Lynn is ultra fussy, or maybe things have deteriorated.
We would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

Not to forget, the beaches is natural, not hand made or owned by private persons or companies. If anyone of the visitors expect a natural beach to be completely clean, no leaves, no sea graas and so forth, than they haven´t seen a natural beach before.
Sorry if I make you feel upset, but that´s my opinon. Even if a local owner of a restaurant situated nearly on the beach were cleaning "their" part of the beach in the morning, you would still see leaves and sea graas there in the afternoon.

I must totally agree with Jack. Whilst Little Bay is not the quiet backwater it once was, I know that the small group of property/business owners based in the bay go to great lengths to keep the beach and adjoining areas clean and tidy. I confess that I am equally perplexed by Lynn's comments.
I must say that I feel that it is somewhat unfair of Lyn to give Lillibets a low RSR rating when her only complaint seems to have been related to matters unrelated to the accommodation. In fact she goes out of her way to say that the staff at Lillibets went out of their way to resolve the problem. Would it not have been fairer to rate Lillibets as per the standards of accommodation and service provided and then rate the beach low in our
Beach RSR poll?
My feelings are there there was probably a family/group staying in the area and guilty of causing the litter on a daily basis during their time there. I have seen this many times before and of course, most people (including local business owners) are too polite to go over and tell them to clear their rubbish. This is the sort of thing that happens everywhere, sadly.

now a voice from little bay:
we had some rough seas this year, so a lot of debree (including the odd plastic bottle from the sea) came in, but as mentioned the beach is always cleaned and raked in the morning.
having that said there is the odd tour boat having their BBQ on "our" beach and some of them leave disposable plates and stuff behind in the evening, but also this is usually cleaned up latest the next morning.
our baby is playing on that beach every day and we have to watch out for a beer bottle korc, a cigarette filter or fallen almonds NOW AND THEN, but this is basically it. really surprised about this report lynn, did you try to go there more than once? what time of day was it.... ?

Hi everyone, I swam ashore yesterday from Frankie's tour boat just for a quick visit to the bake oven. Both beaches looked as I expected to find them but yes I have seen more natural debris washed ashore this year.I am enjoying my stay as usual and was rather under the influence of the rum punch after the boat trip

.Just going to be treated to a local cooked meal for Mother's day.home wed
